(Patch graphic) HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden cafe's liquor license was suspended after about 180 people were found packed inside late Friday night in violation of the state's coronavirus regulations, according to officials. Consumer Protection Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull on Thursday issued a summary suspension of the liquor permit for Café Studio 1537, located at 1537 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. Café Studio 1537 hosted a large private gathering Dec. 4, according to Seagull. Hamden police were dispatched to the cafe after receiving a complaint that the business was over capacity. Arriving officers a crowded dance floor with about 150 people, many who weren't wearing masks, according to officials.
