Harassment scandals could hit vaccination rates due to diminished trust in government

The Morrison government’s handling of allegations of sexual harassment could harm the fight against Covid, because trust in government is linked to the community’s willingness to be vaccinated, an Australian National University researcher has warned.

‘If young women have been put off the government because of the handling of sexual harassment and political culture, then they could well turn off engaging about vaccination,’ says Prof Kate Reynolds from the Australian National University.
