The registration window will remain open until Feb. 5. A total of nine schools in the district offer a Pre-K due to funding from the Georgia Lottery. If more students apply to attend the classes than available desk space, the district will use a lottery system to select students for each program. The full-day program in HCS prepares the districtâs youngest learners for the transition to kindergarten and beyond. According to Courtney Jones, assistant superintendent of Early Learning & Innovative Practices, Pre-K in Henry County Schools is the right step to start students on the path to educational success. âPre-K experiences are essential to the development of early learners,â Jones said. âWe know that when students attend this program, they are better prepared for school and ultimately better prepared for life. We look forward to our families registering for Pre-K this school year.â
