The dynamic receiver announced Wednesday he has taken his name out of the transfer portal. "I believe in Coach Blake Anderson's vision for the team and I believe things are going to get back on track," Thompkins said in a message on Twitter. Thompkins announced his intentions to leave Utah State midway through the 2020 season and missed the team's final two games. Despite that, Thompkins still led the team with 20 receptions for 214 yards in what was a sluggish passing attack. Thompkins, a 5-foot-7 speedster, had 40 receptions for 536 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore in 2019. He also returned a punt for a touchdown that same season. He has 69 career receptions for 815 yards and five touchdowns.
