(Photo : LAPD) California Man Fatally Shots Her Ex-Girlfriend Los Angeles Police Department authorities are now searching for a California man identified as Herbert Nixon Flores, 46 years old, for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend in front of their three-year-old daughter. The shocking attack was caught on surveillance tape, according to a report in Crime Online. Copy of the tape was released by the Los Angeles Police Department which showed Karen Ruiz, 35 years old, getting out of a car screaming as her ex-boyfriend and father of her daughter pulls up behind her. The California man was seen chasing her up a driveway and then firing at her multiple times with a semi-automatic handgun.
