The iron fountain at the center of the park was reinstalled on Thursday after being removed for refurbishing. According to North Country Now, the fountain was dismantled last August and shipped to Alabama for the overhaul. The fountain was first installed in the summer of 1898 by the Village Improvement Society. It has served as a scenic addition to the park since then. The restoration project was funded by donations to the Canton Park and Fountain Campaign.
