Housing Crisis To Be Addressed In Listening Tour For many people across the Acadiana region, figuring out how to manage their housing needs can be extremely difficult during a pandemic. President Joe Biden did issue an executive order that puts a moratorium on evictions for people who are renting. Many people have lost their jobs, or they may be working less hours since the pandemic started. This week, the Acadiana Housing Alliance will join Housing Louisiana for a listening tour to find out about issues that are at the forefront for people in this region. They are asking anyone who is interested in this topic to join their zoom meeting. Leigh Rachel with ARCH of Acadiana says, via a press release, that "Community feedback is welcomed and appreciated." ARCH stands for the Acadiana Regional Coaltion on Homelessness and Housing. The group is made up of people who are working to end people who experience homelessness in an eight-parish region.
