If it isn’t, that could be a big problem for the stock market. The $900 billion fiscal stimulus package has passed in Congress. President Trump said the $600 direct payments to households should be $2,000. House Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said the House will try to pass a bill with the $2,000 diet payments. “Delay of the COVID relief bill and the $600 payments would provide a further offensive opportunity for Democrats,” wrote Raymond James’ Washington policy analyst Ed Mills in a note.
