CARLSBAD The Carlsbad City Council met in closed session Tuesday to discuss litigation and property negotiations. In open session, the council approved authorizing staff to work with Brookfield Properties, NRG Energy, and San Diego Gas & Electric to relocate the SDG&E North Coast Service Center from Carlsbad Boulevard and Cannon Road to the city-owned parking lot at The Shoppes at Carlsbad. Robert Prosser, Raúl Diaz and Patty Schreibman were appointed to the Historical Commission. DEL MAR Advertisement The Del Mar City Council met in closed session Monday to discuss litigation and property negotiations. In open session, SANDAG representatives gave a presentation on the agency’s 5 Big Moves regional transportation vision, for which the council affirmed support. The council unanimously approved getting the trains off the Del Mar bluffs. Staff was directed to start work on a wildfire evacuation plan that was requested by the Del Mar Hillside Community Group in exchange for withdrawing a referendum against the city. Staff was also asked to get a definite date from the group for withdrawing the referendum. The council approved hiring MSW Consultants for organics recycling compliance and solid waste services procurement.
