The criticism around accepting foreign aid comes at a time when India is in the grips of a second COVID wave, with more than 300,000 cases being reported daily. India’s main opposition Congress party on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accepting aid from foreign governments, as it pointed out that the decision marked a policy reversal on the part of New Delhi.
