Mar 17, 2021 4:50 AM (OLNEY/NEWTON) Two rounds of rain are expected to hit our downstate area over the next 36 hours with some heavy amounts of rainfall possible along with maybe some severe weather conditions. As the strong low pressure storm system moves up towards the Ohio River Valley, our first chance of widespread rain and scattered thunderstorms will move through this afternoon. Then after a brief dry period, the second wave of scattered rain and maybe thunderstorms will roll through tonight and tomorrow morning. Thursday will be a rather raw day with an overcast sky, lingering rain, and temperatures falling back into the low to mid 40’s.
