A group of today’s leading contemporary artists have generously donated works to be sold to benefit the Campaign for a Safe and Healthy California whose mission is to protect communities from toxic oil drilling. As part of Christie’s marquee week of sales in May, artworks will be auctioned in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale and May First Open Online. The works on offer represent a rich and diverse cross section of art by leading contemporary voices of today including Charles Gaines, Christina Quarles, Kenny Scharf, Jonas Wood, Nathaniel Mary Quinn, Joey Terrill and Candida Höfer . All proceeds raised will go to support this important Campaign for environmental justice.
