Daniel Lewis wanted to open a restaurant with entrees not normally found in other areas. Thatâs when he got the idea for Saltwater Cowboys Bar & Grille, located at 771 NE Fifth St. in Crystal River. The restaurant, which opened Wednesday, Dec. 16, features an eclectic menu: hand-cut steaks, seafood, pork chops, specialty burgers and appetizers. There is a full-service liquor bar. And even old favorites will have a new twist, he said. Lewisâ partner in the venture is his mom Jill Lewis and he has about four employees. Jill Lewis, who operated a restaurant-bar in Morriston, Florida, said sheâs excited to be in Crystal River and working with her son.
