All home teams won on Thursday, and we had three road warriors in four Friday games. One of them was Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, which grabbed its sixth consecutive win against CSKA Moscow in the Russian capital. Nando De Colo returned to Moscow for the first time since leaving CSKA in 2019 and he delivered with a huge game: 22 points, a single missed shot and a PIR of 38. Jan Vesely had 24 points and a PIR of 32 as Fenerbahce won 83-89. FC Barcelona had a great defensive effort to beat Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade 60-72 on the road. The best news for Barcelona is that Nikola Mirotic and Brandon Davies are back, making the team even more powerful. Zalgiris Kaunas edged Olympiacos Piraeus 81-79 with a final 9-0 run powered by Joffrey Lauvergne and Arturas Milaknis. With the game tied at 79-79 and less than 10 seconds left, Thomas Walkup stole the ball from Kostas Sloukas and scored the game-winning bucket. Zenit St Petersburg, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and AX Armani Exchange Milan won at home, as did Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv downed Real Madrid 86-84 behind 30 points from Tyler Dorsey. It was one of the best games of the season but if you ask me, the absolute best so far – and believe me, I watch everything – was Friday's win in Moscow by Fenerbahce over CSKA. It had everything you ask in a EuroLeague game: highlights, great performances, intensity, action, drama.
