Huawei 5G core network officially passes 3GPP SCAS & GSMA NESAS Evaluation
According to Huawei’s official website, Huawei recently passed the 5G Core Network Security Assurance Specification (SCAS) test defined by 3GPP. After the industry’s first GSMA product development and life cycle process audit, it officially passed GSMA NESAS complete security assessment for 5GC network equipment. 5GC (5G Core Network) is the 5G core network. According to reports, the test was performed by the SGS Brightsight laboratory in the Netherlands. The test conclusions are currently on GSMA official website.
According to reports, NESAS is a network security test specification and evaluation mechanism is from GSMA and 3GPP. The test object is Huawei’s core network (5GC network element equipment). This also includes four products, UNC, UDG, UPCF, and UDM. Furthermore, the test content covers general security, business function security, transmission security, and operation and maintenance security.
