Article by Adam Duckett STUDENT societies from 16 universities across the world have signed up to take part in a student summit, and more are invited to join the event running from 13 July to 3 August. Plans are to host seven events, and also stream the events online for students from around the world to join. The events will be held in Australia’s Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, and in New Zealand and Malaysia. Each event will highlight an industry important to the host location and will include interactive site tours, keynote speakers and networking sessions. The theme of this year’s summit is “looking to the future of chemical engineering...challenges, demand and innovation”. It will look at the key opportunities available to the next generation of chemical engineers.
