If the atmosphere is chaotic, how can we trust climate model

There's a lot of chaos in the atmosphere. But that doesn't mean we can't model it. Chaos theory explains deterministic chaotic systems like the atmosphere. But if it is so 'unpredictable' how can we trust climate models and their scenarios?
