But Pollack-Pelzner, a professor at the school, was willing to assume that the president had merely made a tactless mistake. “At the time, I thought this is messed up,” he said of the 2018 encounter with Miles Davis, president of Linfield University. “I thought people stopped talking about measuring the size of Jewish noses sometime around 1945.”
