At least he took a stand to try to do something, whereas others are all talk (“Duluth mayor, local officials criticize Stauber for challenging presidential election results,” Dec. 14). In 2019, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and others had great concern for the integrity of our elections when they sent a letter to the investors of the election-technology companies Election Systems & Software, Dominion Voting System, and Hart InterCivic. The letter stated, “We are particularly concerned that secretive and ‘trouble-plagued companies,’ owned by private equity firms and responsible for manufacturing and maintaining voting machines and other election administration equipment, ‘have long skimped on security in favor of convenience,’ leaving voting systems across the country ‘prone to security problems.’”
