HOPEWELL, NY — Dogs are not new to Talon Robb, who had two German shepherds when he was growing up in Battle Creek, Michigan. Now incarcerated in the Ontario County Jail, Robb is paired with Nova, a shelter dog in need of a home. Nova is learning to sit, stay, walk on a leash and all those behaviors that will make her an ideal pet. Robb is working on turning his life around, changing his own behavior for the better -- and for now, Nova is part of the plan. A 16-month old collie mix, Nova is the second pup to be teamed up with an inmate at the Ontario County Jail for a new program, Jail and T.A.I.L.S. (Teaching Animals and Inmates Life Skills).
