Fairness in accountable and explainable processes needs to set the expectation for technological development. This means investment in talents and research, for sure, but it needs to be of a multidisciplinary variety, encouraging also the traditional academic organisations to ensure stronger collaborative abilities between different faculties, and the surrounding society – Stefan Larsson, Associate Professor in Technology and Social Change at Lund University pointed out in a conversation with Lénárd Sándor, researcher of the National University of Public Service. Stefan LARSSON is a senior lecturer and Associate Professor in Technology and Social Change at Lund University, Sweden, Department of Technology and Society. He is a lawyer (LLM) and socio-legal researcher that holds a PhD in Sociology of Law as well as a PhD in Spatial Planning. His multidisciplinary research focuses on issues of trust and transparency on digital, data-driven markets, and the socio-legal impact of autonomous and AI-driven technologies.
