It's been a relentless 16 months, and healthcare CIOs and other health IT leaders can no doubt use a breather. During the course of the past year-plus, these executives have learned many lessons spurred by the manic pacing of the pandemic. Some of them center on the importance of data and analytics, the need for more patient engagement, the requirements of keeping telehealth up to par, and the need to focus technologies on enabling enterprise-wide strategic plans.
