Can you believe that the State of Connecticut doesn't have an official state dog? Well that could all change if one State Senator has any say in the matter. Let's see, Connecticut already has a state flower, the Mountain-Laurel, a state bird, American Robin, a state nickname (actually two), the Nutmeg State and the Constitution State and heck, we even have a state shellfish, the Eastern Oyster. So why has it taken this long to even consider the fact that the state should have a state dog. Now according to wtnh.com, State Senator Eric Berthel of Watertown wants the state to add a dog to the list of all things Connecticut. I'll give you three guesses as to what dog would be the front runner and the first two guesses don't count. Yup, you got it, the Husky.
