LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The return to in-person classes in March and April will feature some similarities for all students in Jefferson County Public Schools, but there are some unique aspects of dealing with preteens at the middle school level. "Middle schoolers are super social," Meyzeek Middle School Principal Ronda George said Thursday morning after giving JCPS Superintendent Marty Pollio a tour of how her building will safely welcome back students on April 5. As a result, they will need reminders about keeping masks on and social distancing when they step back inside their school in the Smoketown neighborhood for the first time in over a year, George said.
