John Geddert, a former coach for USA Gymnastics, is the second former Olympic coach with ties to serial-molester Larry Nassar to die by suicide after being accused of abusing young female gymnasts. Geddert’s body was discovered Thursday afternoon at a rest area on Interstate 96 in Clinton County Michigan just hours after he was charged with 24 counts including human trafficking, sexual assault, racketeering and lying to police. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a written statement that Geddert, who was an Olympic coach in 2012, had taken his own life. He wasn't the first. Indianapolis gymnastics coach Marvin Sharp killed himself in the Marion County Jail in 2015 after he was accused of molesting a 14-year-old gymnast. Investigators also found child pornographic images. He had been an Olympic coach for Indianapolis-based USA Gymnastics in 2008 and was the national governing body's Coach of the Year in 2010.
