Apr 17, 2021 EAST LIVERPOOL — John J. Ruble, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday morning, April 16, 2021, at Heritage Valley Beaver. He was 89. Born in Steubenville, June 1, 1931, he was a son of the late Louise I. Smith Myers and William H. Myers. A lifetime area resident, for 30 years he worked at the former Crucible Steel Company as an equipment operator until 1982. He then worked the next 22 years as the nightwatchman at Murray Trucking. A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Airforce for four years. A little league baseball manager where his teams won 10 consecutive little league championships. He also enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Above all things in life, he loved and adored his family.
