PAT CROSSLEY pcrossley@sungazette.com JERSEY SHORE — For the second time in as many months, the Jersey Shore Area School Board has nixed a motion that would have added a health careers curriculum to the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Citing budgetary concerns, five board members this week advocated taking a wait-and-see approach to adding the career pathway. Their decision was made in spite of calls from residents, letters and an unofficial student survey supporting the addition of the curriculum. “Basically what I asked students was where their interests were as far as a health careers program at the high school,” said Robert Parker, student representative on the board.
