View Comments El Pasoans will be able to swim with fish again when Balmorhea State Park reopens later this month. Officials with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department announced Monday on its Facebook page that the natural spring pool will reopen June 26. The post said guests are strongly encouraged to reserve day passes in advance at tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/ to guarantee entry. The pool and day-use areas will be open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or sunset, whichever comes first. The San Solomon Courts, campground and cienegas remain closed and there is still light construction in the area.
