Justin Baumann has received master’s degrees from the University of Southern California and Arizona State University in public and business administration. An Army veteran, he served with the 4th Infantry Regiment in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom and with the 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve. He has been published in The Small Wars Journal and Infantry Magazine. He is a recipient of Gold Spurs, the Combat Infantryman Badge, a Purple Heart, and is a graduate of the Army’s Urban Breachers Course.
