Kevona Davis. Former Edwin Allen star Kevona Davis, who is now at the University of Texas, finished fourth in the women's 60m on Saturday at the Charlie Thomas Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M. The 19-year-old Jamaican crossed the line in 7.34 seconds and was no match for her University of Texas teammate St Lucian Julian Alfred, who continued to cement herself as one of the top sprinters in the country and University of Texas history. Alfred set a meet record in the prelims, clocking 7.15 – the second-best mark in the country this season and tied for the sixth-best run in school history. Alfred followed it up by winning the final in 7.17. Her two marks gave her possession of five of the top eight 60-metre runs in school history (all 7.15 or lower) and seven of the top 12 times overall (all 7.18 or lower).
