The amount of rain for the storm is just unbelievable. Just to try to put it into perspective, this storm has set a new record for rainfall from tropical system in the allowlow states. Nearly 52 inches of rain of cedar buy you which is southeast of houston. The previous record is 48 inches of rain back in 1978. The amount of rain from this storm in five days is equal to two to three years worth of rain in the bay area. San jose yearly average is under 15 inches of rain. Today the county broke ground on a project to ensure that all the water stays here in the creek bed instead of flooding peoples homes. For one man delivering newspapers around 5 00 this morning with his wife in this mini van was devastating. He delivered a paper and tried to walk back across when a vehicle hit him and drove off the the man in his 60s had life threatening injuries. Thank youfully he was less than a mile away from the valley medical center. What im told is happening is that the water is coming in from the river over on this side. The neighborhoods over there is one of those subdivisions where theres a lot of water im told and a lot of folks that need to get out.
