One girl died and one survived with major injuries and the third who was driving has been arrested. The crash happened on sky farm road. This is a 5. 6 cent increase. The californias tax on gas is up to 80 cents per gallon making them the highest in the country. Of course, californias gas prices are already among the highest in the country especially in places like San Francisco. The money from this latest increase is supported to pay for road and mass transit improvements and all from two separate tax increases. The first was a 12 cent increase last year. Its part of a 5 billion package passed in 2017 by the state legislature. We started an initial increase of 12 cents a gallon last november and new today a six cent increase as of today with that six cent increase makes californians or means californians are paying the highest prices for fuel taxes compared to any other state in the u. S. Its progressive over the years and kind of sucks. What can we do . Make or break number for you when it gets to a certain price per gallon . I think 4 is it.
