One girl died and one survived with major injuries and the third who was driving has been arrested. The crash happened on sky farm road. The money from this latest increase is supported to pay for road and mass transit improvements and all from two separate tax increases. The first was a 12 cent increase last year. Its part of a 5 billion package passed in 2017 by the state legislature. We started an initial increase of 12 cents a gallon last november and new today a six cent increase as of today with that six cent increase makes californians or means californians are paying the highest prices for fuel taxes compared to any other state in the u.
