Customs and Border Protection agents caught two murder suspects last night. They escaped from jail. A 21yearold is on their way back to monterrey county jail. We received information they were in the area of tijuana. Once we received that information, we notified Customs Border and Protection Agency and they were able to locate them trying to walk back into the country. The inmates escaped sunday by climbing out of this hole that they cut into the ceiling of a fail citi. From there they made their way through a tiny crawl space out of a hatch to an area under construction where there was no razor wire. The they made it into mexico, tijuana, but were captured as they tried to come back into the United States. Bnb is not a solution. Reporter they voted to instruct staff to put a temporary ban on unhosted shortterm rentals, homes like the ones where the shootings happen. That is where a homeowner is not present during that stay and that that would be an urgency ordinance. It would be in place for 45 days while we work on a permanent ordinance. It is very uncomfortable to have a constant stream of strangers coming in and out of the neighborhood. Reporter the decision came after some residents expressed concerns about other shortterm rentals in town where hosts are not on the property. Of the 32 registered shortterm rentals only 11 are unhosted. The town itself has 6,800 residents. There was a tragedy on halloween night. Reporter in the meantime, the ceo says his company is taking several steps to avoid unmonitored situations. So were going to have a 24 7 neighbor hotline where any neighbor can call us. It will be some pretty sunny and mild days coming our way for a while. Looks very, very dry. Overnight mainly clear skies. Although some patchy fog developing up at the north bay and of course more widespread fog will prevail. Overnight lows will be mainly in the upper 40s. Tomorrow look for mainly sunny skies even at the coast. See the fog pull back and give way to partly sunny skies. High temperatures from low 60s at the coast. Mainly upper 70s. It gets warmer on friday on the low to mid80s, which is warm for november. We will have that same pattern on saturday. And with only minor cooling likely on sunday, so we will see upper 70s generally inland on sunday, up to about 70 on the bay shoreline and low 60s on the coast.
