The Movie Theaters are open in napa, so we did head up there to check it out, see what it looks like during these times. And theaters are only allowed to fill up to 25 of capacity. Masks are required except for when you are eating and drinking in the auditorium. And the theater will make sure not to sell the seats next to you. We spoke to a couple in napa who said that they were happy to be out. Ive missed it a hot, just missed coming here with friends and family. It gives us something to do. Like kind of stuck at home. Nice to see a movie and not have to sit in your bed while watching it. Reporter opening theaters is allowed once the county reaches the red level of the state hes reopening plan. But a county doesnt have to open them. San francisco and santa clara are red, but have decided not to open theaters yet. At the live desk, a new report finds controversial testing guidance released by the cdc last month was actually not written by cdc scientists. The guidance said patients without symptoms should not get tested for covid19 even if they were exposed to someone who is infected. According to an email obtained by the new york times, Trump Administration officials at the health and Human Services department rewrote the guidance despite warnings from doctors to actually ramp up up testing. This comes after dr. Red field and trump went back and forth over a time line for a vaccine. I think were probably looking at late second quarter, Third Quarter 2021. No, we want to go immediately. Meanwhile the Trump Administration is facing new criticism after recently uncovering memos revealed the white house blocked a proposal from the Postal Service to send 650 million disposable masks to american households back in april, this is around the same time the president was largely resisting wearing a mask. An east bay woman is suing her former doctor for medical rape. 40 years ago, she thought that she was artificially inseminated with a sperm donor, but now you a test reveals that her ob gyn is likely the wouldbiological f. At 40 years old, julie discovered that he is likely the biological father. This all dates back to when my husband and i were newlyweds and trying to conceive a child. Reporter and Katherine Richards is julies mother. She soughtn nefertility treatme and on wednesday, she filed this lawsuit against kiken alleging battery and fraud. The complaint says that kiken inserted his own sperm into richards without her consent and against her wishes. The suit characterizes it as medical rape. Dr. Kiken lied to us. Reporter last year she received a 23 and me ancestry dna test kit. I was jewish and had a half brother. So you need to start question things. I got connected to gene yol guest and was able to make the connection. And so we tested my son and found he shared the same biological father. Dr. Kiken needs to answer for what he did to katie and to others. Reporter an Attorney Says that boy in the richards neighborhood was also the result of kikens deceitful insemination. Were aware of three children who were the product of dr. Kikens violations. We dont know if there are any others. Certainly something that well find out through our lawsuit. Reporter kiken now lives in virginia and he is still licensed to practice medicine. But a former clinic says he hasnt worked there for about ten years. Developing news now, an arson investigat is under way at an Armenian Church. Yesterday morning fire gutted part of a community center. And Officials Say the cause of the fire is under investigation, but Church Leaders believe that someone purposely did this and used at least one molotov cocktail to start it. In july the Armenian School associated with the church was vandalized with hateful messages. We think that lot of people that they dont like the arrest meanians and somehow through that hate this is the way that they take their revenge. The church is offering a 25,000 reward. Yosemite will likely be closed through the weekend, smoke from the creek fire forced to close to visitors last night. But in addition to that, they will get the social, the political, the cultural, Historical Foundation that they should have but we know that the School System is in the going to give them because the school them was the not set up to educate our community properly. We bring in that education allege experience that so many are hungry for. I use poetry to bring in the trauma and so that they can learn to articulate their emotions, identify certain traumas that impact them. And then provide them a platform to express themselves. Because oftentimes they are shut down or they dont feel like they have a voice.
