That includes the mayor of pittsburgh who says she found out about that target location closing along with the rest of us. She told me that the city had been in communication with the company and was planning on opening a Police Substation just across the street to help address concerns fans. On tuesday, target announcing they would be closing three of their Bay Area Stores next month, a location in San Francisco, though, one in oakland and one in pittsburgh. Soquels preston says that Police Substation was meant to open in just weeks. She says she wishes target would have waited to see if the situation improved before deciding to leave. We have seen a downward trend of the theft thats going on in that shopping center. Target is just the latest company to close stores in the bay area. Its not working for the customers. Ross coalition works with thousands of businesses around the state. He believes the problem of retail theft wont be fixed until theres greater accountable for those committing crimes. And it will go from something that sounds innocuous, like like a petty theft and may end up leading into violence and thats what these stores are really concerned about.
