Da pamela price says she will dedicate a total of 4 million to create a unit to specifically focus on organized retail theft. Its a first for the das office as we are having the opportunity to interrupt thefts at the lower level while at the same time focusing our efforts on how do we stop it through organized retail and how do we essentially choke off the demand side that is driving a lot of what we see happening in our communities. A total of 31 Police Departments across california also got state grants to help fight organized retail theft and crime, including campbell, fremont, newark, palo alto, San Francisco. San jose.
