Now, according to an affidavit, armstrong put in a medical request that restricting the use of leg restraints then filed an injury complaint to get herself a doctors appointment outside of the prison. Officers say as they escorted armstrong from the Doctors Office to the car. She then made a run for it, trying to scale the fence. An officer pulled her down and she tried to run again. They say armstrong went about a mile while stripping off her prisoner uniform and even freed a hand from her cuffs before finally being caught. This affidavit is all about mrs. Armstrongs attempt to escape authorities and to go somewhere else. She was clearly intentional about trying to get away from authorities. Armstrong is accused of murdering a professional cyclist who armstrong believed was romantically involved with their boyfriend. Authorities say armstrong appears to have been planning to break out of jail for a while.
