Eminem won an Academy Award (for “Original Song” although his acting also got overwhelmingly positive reviews). The soundtrack and the single won multiple Grammys. Eminem was being compared to the Beatles for being a musician AND making a movie that wasn’t terrible. I guess, more than anything, I’m surprised Eminem hasn’t done MORE in the way of acting. He did a few cameos here and there but a lot of people expected him to do more acting projects, kind of like a Reverse-Jared Leto.
