The city hayes it investigated 32 warehouses where people were suspected of living, working or Holding Events without the proper permits. And you may remember after the ghostship fire there was lots of concerns about artists living in unconventional Living Spaces getting displaced. Oakland says some have been evicted. But the city says its unclear how many. Landlords at five of the illegal dwellings idd by the city kicked out tenants. At one property 13 people were displaced after a small fire prompted the urine owner to sell that warehouse. One of the major promises made by the city after the goatship fire involved staffing the fire inspection office. The city had eight inspectors at the time of the fire.
