But its questions about the past behavior of the republican nominee roy moore that continues to divide this state. In a little more than a week, at least nine women have made allegations against roy moore about inappropriate behavior stretching back decades. Ranging from unwanted pursuing of teenagers to Sexual Assault. Moore denies all claims of Sexual Misconduct. His Campaign Calls them, quote, politically motivated. Were in a battle. Reporter while he avoided the spotlight on friday, his wife kayla did not. Speaking before her husbands supporters. Even after all the attacks against me, against my family, against the foundation, and now against my husband, he will not step down. Reporter on friday, alabamas republican governor kay ivy said while she has no reason to not believe his accusers, she still plans to vote for moore to help republicans keep their majority in the u. S. Senate. I will cast my ballot on december the 12th and i do believe the nominee of the party is the one ill vote for. Reporter but not all women are convinced. In moores hometown of gadsden, some of the scrutiny welcomed. I think its an important issue. I think the truth needs to be dug out. Theres things that have been known here for years and years that have gone unchecked. Reporter meanwhile, the white house is pushing back on claims that President Trump stayed silent about the allegations against moore. He said if the allegations are true, he should step aside. Not mentioning his opponent by name but acknowledging all the attention paid to this race. This is really just another example of a russian with high level kremlin connections circling around the trump campaign. This man accused by spanish prosecutors of having russian organized crime connection, something he denies, was trying to get a a senior level around a National Rifle association conference. An email chain made its way to kushner. And kushner instructed people to pass on the meeting. And his lawyer says, look, thats exculpatory. But the problem is they didnt turn these documents over to investigators. Secondly, this man did get a highlevel trump meeting with donald trump jr. According to to him, he had dinner with donald trump jr. Trump remembers it a little differently. But congressional investigators want to know more about that encounter. Ken, quickly, lets talk for a moment about the man who set up the infamous meeting between donald trump jr. And the russians. Rob goldstone, hes agreed to talk to bob muellers team. A couple of things. One, why might goldstone be so important to this administration this investigation . And two, should the administration be worried . He wrote those emails weve all read that said the russian government is trying to help your dad and this russian lawyer has incriminating information on hillary clinton. So weve seen those emails. Some other big headlines were following this morning include an intense manhunt under way in florida a day after three inmates broke out of jail. They escaped through the ceiling in the jails library. Stephanie gosk is here with the latest. Good morning. Reporter good morning. You know, this morning residents in florida are on edge and theyre on the lookout. More than 24 hours after those three inmates escaped from the county ji. The sheriff of the county said they were likely unarmed but should still be considered dangerous. Search teams are out in the Florida Panhandle combing through heavily wooded areas. This video shot by the tallahassee democrat. Multiple agencies are part of the effort on foot and in the air. Were not going to rest until these guys are back behind bars. Reporter theres indication they may have left the area, but they are continuing to search locally. Joel cooper, Donald Cotterman and Casey Martina are all charged with armed burglary. All three have long rap sheets and were awaiting court proceedings. When in the Early Morning hours on friday the Sheriffs Office says they escaped through a hole in the ceiling of the law library. The ceiling had a pretty thick sheet rock covering and they were able to break through that sheet rock covering and get up into the ceiling. Once they got in between the ceiling and the roof, they made their way to the nearest door they could find. And dropped down. Some 24 hours after a fire tore through a nursing home in pennsylvania, Authorities Say they are still trying to account for everyone who had been inside when that fire broke out. Meanwhile, investigators are also trying to figure out what caused the massive blaze that forced 140 people to flee for their lives. Kristen dahlgren reports now. Theres been no communication with the sub for two days. Officials believe an electrical outage may be to blame which would force the vessel to come to the surface, but theres been no sign of it in stormy weather. The sub was last confirmed to be in the south argentine sea. An intense search is under way in western pennsylvania this morning for a suspect involved in that deadly shooting of a police officer. Officer bryan shaw tried to make a traffic stop last night when he was shot and killed during a foot pursuit. He had been with the Police Department for less than a year. Police have recovered a vehicle wanted in connection with the shooting and are now calling on the public for help and finding the suspect. Meanwhile, a hunt for two suspects is under way in gainesville, florida where a gun battle erupted after Police Responded to a Domestic Violence call there. Both of those officers suffered minor injuries and are expected to be okay. Tv host Ryan Seacrest has released a formal statement disputing a decadeold misconduct allegation made by a former wardrobe stylist at e news. He said i dispute these reckless allegations and i plan to cooperate with any corporate inquiries that may result. Seacrest apologized if he ever made the woman feel disrespected, but he went on to say throughout his career the majority of his colleagues have been women whom he respects, advocates for, and says will continue to support.
