Six of seven people onboard discovered in a remote Mountain Region on the island of kawhi, after a helicopter tour crashed. The chopper, carrying two families, including children, was due back around 5 30 tuesday evening but never returned. The last contact came at 4 30 p. M. , as the pilot was leaving a canyon area, a region known for its stunning scenery. Its unclear what caused the crash. Like any place, theres awesome dangers. That area is known for having beautiful, sunny days. And that can change within a matter of an hour or half an hour. Reporter crews battled wind and fog, searching into the night for survivors. The kawhi Fire Department says the green and white chopper, similar to this one, was operated by the tour Company Safari helicopters. The islands thirdoldest helicopter business, operating in kawhi for more than 30 years. The company has not yet commented. The deadly accident devastating this small, tightknit community.
