Staff and volunteers at the Jeremiah Obrien museum have started assessing the damage that they have sustained. They were able to fend off the flames from the world war ii liberty ship, there were four volunteer crew members aboard providing security for the Floating Museum when the fire broke out on pier 45. They got off the ship safely but the fire destroyed two vehicles belonging to the volunteers that were parked in the warehouse that burned. The captain of the Jeremiah Obrien said their Organization Also lost parts that they were about to use to refurbish a key part of the ship. Its very difficult. Rejuvenating a boiler thats 75 years sold a major problem and thats something weve been doing in the last couple years.
