We have a series of stories and interviews remembering the victims and honoring the heros on our website. Just go to nbcbayarea. Com and search gilroy strong. Were going to take you outside now as a warm day. Lets check with jeff ranieri with our forecast. Jeff . And, yes, we did have that isolated heat across the inland valleys. Then up against the coastline, we had those cooler temperatures from the fog. And i know a lot of you also note illsed that smoke in the air coming from that fire that was in San Francisco. Of course we have more on that at nbcbayarea. Com. I did want to start off with the air quality because i know that smell of smoke definitely puts a lot of our nerves on edge. And youll see the smoke pollution has decreased right now. To 61. Thats the pm 2. 5s, a look at the particle matters in the atmosphere. Its considered moderate right now with moderate air quality all the way over to concord. Were seeing a lot of this smoke getting dispersed right now because of the fog at the coastline. You can see it roaring in right here in downtown San Francisco. Also some drizzle as well. So that fire that was in the San Francisco area, which they have started to, of course, get a handle on and get control of, the smoke is also starting to diminish because of that fog rolling in at the coastline. Now this will set us up, the fog as we move into tomorrow morning, with lots of widespread cloud cover here. Of course over the peninsula. Well see some patchy clouds over the south bay and also for the trivalley and 50s, but, really, the best chance of those low clouds and fog will be right here over the east bay, San Francisco and the north bay with our cool 50s. Now, sunshine will return as we move through tomorrow afternoon, and temperatures actually cooling off a degree or two as the fog pattern is just kind of kicking in a little bit stronger tomorrow. So this will leave us with perfect weather in san jose at 83 degrees. Morgan hill a little bit warmer away from that bay breeze at 88. Lets bring you over to the east bay, a chilly or cooler 72 in oakland. In concord, a warm 90. Microclimate in full effect. If youre going anywhere tomorrow, car thermometers going to be all over the place. The peninsula 77 degrees and sunny skies. Relatively light wind out of the northwest at 7 00. San francisco, chill in the air for the marina at 68 degrees, the mission 65. And as you move away from the bay, there you go, temperatures warm up. 80 in sonoma and a much hotter 95 in clear lake. Now, want to show you why well stay away from 105 degree heat this week. We have not one but two different systems moving over. Now, i dont see any rainfall with either one of these, but theyre basically going to help to keep that fog line in pattern in place at the coastline and some of the hottest air over the Desert Southwest away from us. So, youll see in my extended forecast that means we continue with this cool pattern of 60s in San Francisco. Over the next seven days. With more rounds of the morning fog coming on in. And right here for the inland valleys, we are going to an average of 90 tomorrow. Drop down to 88 on friday. Some low 90s for the weekend and more 80s next week. So as ive been saying, it is good because we are not seeing these triple digits and no major wind events right now. So while weve had some small fires crop up over the barea in the past 24 hours, our firefighters have really been able to get a handle on those quickly thanks to the current weather pattern in place. More coming up at 6 00 p. M. , you guys. Thanks, jeff. Still to come at 5 00, status quo for now. The reason mayor sam la card owe wants to delay the vote that would give him more power.
