We are learning some incredible stories about the people who live around here. Get this, one family from pescadero returned home with a new family member. Lauren tippets tells us the night she and her family had to evacuate she went into labor and had her son. In the days leading up to her sons delivery she was already hard at work. She shared this photo with us of she and her husband spraying down their property and all their efforts paid off because fortunately their home remained unscathed. Well, continuing our coronavirus coverage as well, a quick look at new confirmed bay area cases which now total more than 81,000. More than 1,000 people have died. Health leaders have order add Central Valley foster facility to close. The facility is suffering a massive outbreak. 358 workers have tested positive for the virus. Eight have died. That outbreak started back in june. The county says the facility ignored orders to increase testing and boost safety measures. Foster farms has not issued a response. Were going to see still some unhealthy air quality in santa clara valley. What makes the difference is that slight shift in the wind direction or the wind speed, and so we are going to, unfortunately, see that spare the air alert extended into sunday now. But there will be some spots where we get some clearing especially along the immediate coastline and parts of the inland east bay as well as the south bay. As we go into the forecast, were going to notice some slightly warmer temperatures today as we reach up to 77 in oakland. 88 in napa today. And for the south bay well see high temperatures in san jose reaching 86 degrees with some mid90s in livermore. As we go through this weather pattern and whats ahead for the next few days, more heat for the valleys as we are going to see this High Pressure nudging in just a little bit closer and that will make all the difference as well s temperatures. So were not going to see a break here. Highs reaching into the low to mid90s, even some mid90s by early next week. Temperatures peak on tuesday at 97 degrees in some of our warmest spots inland while the coastal areas go from the mid60s to the low 70s. Only subtle changes there.
