Right now we are between low to moderate. Thankfully not high or extreme. There is two important reasons. We are not expecting it to go to the extreme. We are going to head through the forest so to speak and we are going to pinpoint the two top reasons why that fire danger is not expected to go to extreme. Lets come on here through this way and as we head through tomorrows forecast even though we will see wind gusts up to 50 Miles Per Hour in the hills. The thing that we see about the humidity is it will get low down to about 30 . But at least it is not the single digits. The second thing most important thing weve seen is the rainfall. Last month we are talking about 4 to 14 inches across the bay area. So thankfully we had that rainfall. All that water is sitting in the vegetation which is helping us. It doesnt mean we still cant get a wildfire started. But because it is not extreme firefighters should be able to extinguish it much faster. More details on that wind and what we can expect. On your microclimate forecast. This wind is getting set off by two different weather systems. We have High Pressure to the north bringing the dry and sunny weather we had today. But the ripple in all of this and where we get into problems as the low pressure down to the southwest. The way these two things are setting up it will create that vacuum affect and pull that air right through Northern California. Even down to Southern California. Tonight 11 30 we will get the winds out of the northeast 20 to about 30 for the lower elevations. Some of the mounds could get up to 40. The strongest wind getting here as we head through tomorrow morning. Out of the northeast 20 to 50 Miles Per Hour especially in the north bay mounds. Right there at the coastline and the magenta colors. We stay with a strong wind through tomorrow evening. And then as we head through fridays forecast that wind will start to drop on down.
