Service branches have been developing gender neutral requirements for all jobs in the military and are currently evaluating whether any positions should remain closed to women. After 62 days of grueling training, two women are now on their way to graduating alongside 94 men from the armys elite ranger school. The pair were among 19 females who took part in the firstever coed Training Session in the schools history. Training that includes a notoriously tough course. Carrying the sacks which is pretty heavy. Running missions. Learning how to do patrolling in different types of environment. None of that is dated by the fact the students probably average between two and four hours of sleep a night. Reporter the women who have the been identified started the tough journey back in april with runs of other soldiers and completing a fitness test consisting of 49 pushups and 59 situps and a Five Mile Run in 40 minutes. Over the course of a few weeks they mastered military mountaineering and parachute jumps and air assaults to earn the ranger tab. At the root of everything, the courses purpose is still to create combat leaders and make the rest of the army better.
