Reporter the students are now organizing phone banks and they say they are working with the university to lobby congress. These students worry that many graduates would drop out. What youre going to see is youre going to see people not going to graduate school as much because they cant afford t you will see American Students go out of the country and International Students stay in their home countries. Reporter this busy corridor is ready to undergo a 20 Million Construction project transforming 2nd street from king to market right through eastern soma, a neighborhood with new highrise condos at at t park on the eastern end. Today, new Gun Legislation being proposed would do the same thing for concealed carry permits. The first bill the House Judiciary Committee is looking at is called the concealed carry reciprocity act. Senator Dianne Feinstein says if passed it would specifically hurt states like california and new york states that have very strict gun laws because it would allow weaker laws to take the place of those stronger ones. Someone with a concealed carry permit from nevada or arizona would be able to carry a concealed firearm in california. No questions asked. Reporter the National Rifle Association Says this type of legislation is exactly what is needed in order to get rid of socalled confusion surrounding various state laws. Representative Richard Hudson of North Carolina told usa today earlier this month that the recent shootings in las vegas and texas reinforce the significance of passing this bill because carrying a concealed firearm is an important way to protect and defend people.
