Still green for drivers. A 10 minute ride into San Francisco. Back over to you. Well today, house represcribes are expected to pass their plan to overhaul the nations tax code. Then the senate will vote and likely send the bill to the president for his signature. Heres whats included. The Corporate Tax rate will decrease to 21 . The standard deduction will increase to 12,000 for individuals, and 24,000 for couples. But the personal exception is eliminated, which will offset a large chunk of those savings for many people. Homeowners with new mortgages can duct interest on the first 750,000, which is down from the current 1 million. The Child Tax Credit will double to 2,000, and the individual Health Care Mandate is eliminated. Thats projected to increase premiums by 10 and result in 1 million more people without insurance over the next decade. And a new nonpartisan announcement is predicting that the bill will raise taxes for 5 of taxpayers next year. Over half of americans would pay more by 2027 when the individual tax cuts expire. The announcements found that by far the biggest winners would be the wealthy. The bill has no support from the democrats, and theyre criticizing a last minute addition benefiting those with real estate income, and that includes President Trump and republican senator bob corker, who opposed the bill before that deduction was added. Republican lawmakers cleared another obstacle yesterday when senator Suzanne Collins and senator mike lee announced their support for the bill. That should give them the votes to pass the bill without senator john mccain. Michelle .
