Come home and today we spoke to a bay area resident stuck with his wife in lima peru. We are coming back from lima. We were at that airport when we found out. We found what was going on. From the day i received the email from them that they were trapped in peru and couldnt get out, they were desperate. They found a hotel and from there it was a shuffle to find lodging. Everything was locked down as it is in San Francisco. They were allowed to go out to one at a time per day to these Grocery Stores into the pharmacy. And thats it. Theyve been confined to their quarters, locked in a cage, weve contacted representatives, i get shuffled from one to another and then its by email. I dont know what else i could possibly do. I understood we tried the ambassador who had left. The plane left to the United States completely empty. This seems like a travesty. I dont know how long this will last. Again, what happens if they do get sick . What then . We just got some good news to report. Good news. Chris and julia got a call and they will be on a flight home tomorrow. In east Bay Regional Park District announced moorpark and parking lot closures to promote social distancing, this past week in the Park District saw more people in parks than on a busy holiday. State and county Health Departments have said they want the parks to remain open and accessible for Outdoor Activity but it might be necessary to close moorpark areas if people continue to overcrowd them. The closures will be in effect until april 30 or until further notice. The mayor today urging residents to continue practicing social distancing and shared her own experience with a runner who got too close. I was walking in a narrow area and the runner decided to run closely next to me. It would have taken like three seconds for the runner to wait until i had crossed the bridge area to get by so that we could maintain that 6 feet.
