Now in their letter, the oakland chapter of the naacp accused the District Attorney o not doing a good enough job of punishing criminals. They responded by saying, we are disappointed that a great African American pastor and a great African American organization would take a false narrative of such an important matter. We expect more from Bishop Bob Jackson and the oakland chapter of the naacp. And also in oakland, the civilian agency in charge of investigating misconduct are in charge of keeping up with tear case load. They report that the unit, which was formed in 2016 has staffing shortages and a lack of resources, and may not be able to complete the cases o their docket. Its now 6 14 evacuation orders have been expanded in Riverside County as emergency crews fight the fire. It started in thursday and doubled in size on friday. Now according to cal fires latest update, the fire has grown to nearly 2,000 acres as of last night. The fire was just 5 contained, burning dangerously close to the community. But the Officials Say so far no homes have been damaged and no injuries have been reported. Evacuation orders expanded last night as the number of homes increased threefold. They will continue to battle the blaze under the heat advisory this weekend. The last weekend in july is going to feel like the last weekend in july. Just normal summertime weather today and again tomorrow. Temperatures ma be running a couple of degrees above average, but nothing out of control. No extreme heat thats headed our way this weekend, and not any time in th extended outlook easy with plenty of fog along the coast through the rest of the weekend then well cool down through next week. The first several days will bring below average temperatures to the entire bay area. Long range, much farther down the line. Are we looking a the big warmup . A few question marks after that statement because its uncertain. Some of the longrange forecast models are hinting at it, but not far etched. One of the spots that will see a little more variability to the temperatures this time of the year. It will be toasty this weekend, but not access blue hot. Accessiblely hot. We are still talking about the mid90s, which isnt that far out of the ordinary for early august. Well see if the other longrange forecast model are seeing more heat that will build on that. Our accurate, or just overreacting to Something Else thats happening in the atmosphere. The Prediction Center that will take us throug the first third of august indicates a good chance of the above normal temperature patter lasting beyond that tenday tim frame into the twoweek outlook time frame. A mix of 80s for the trivalley and the delta. But again, the low 90s. We can handle that. Those are spots that would typically reach over 100 degrees. We wont be close to it. Upper 60s in San Francisco. Low 70s for most parts around oakland and the east bay with low to mid80s until you go farther north.
